Children & Youth Opportunities

Nursery

Our nursery is a place where our youngest disciples (infants–4/5 years old) can experience God’s love in a safe, caring, and welcoming environment.

This fall, Ms. Karii has plenty planned! Through age-appropriate activities, creative play, stories, and crafts, children will begin learning about God while discovering that church is a place where they are known, loved, and welcomed.

We are grateful for the energy, creativity, and care Ms. Karii brings and can’t wait for another fun-filled season in the nursery!

Children's Sunday School

Our elementary Sunday School begins a new season with the Fall 2026 Big Faith curriculum. Each week, children (young 5s-6th grade) will explore Scripture, ask questions, participate in hands-on activities, and discover how faith connects with everyday life. This year also brings weekly memory verses and prizes! While the prizes add some fun, the bigger goal is helping our children become familiar with Scripture and carry God’s Word with them beyond Sunday morning.

Grace Space

We believe children are an important part of our worshiping community! Grace Space provides a welcoming place in the sanctuary where children can play, read, create, and engage while remaining present in worship with their church family.

During the summer, Grace Space offered a wonderful way for children to participate in worship in a way that met them right where they were. As Sunday School returns this fall, children approximately ages 5–12 are encouraged to participate in Sunday School during worship, where they’ll have dedicated, age-appropriate opportunities to learn, build relationships, and grow in their faith.

Grace Space will continue to be available as appropriate, recognizing that every child and family is different. Whether participating in Sunday School or spending time in Grace Space, our hope is that every child knows there is a place for them here.

Children aren’t simply the future of the church—they are part of the church right now.

Youth: Elevate

A New Generation Growing in Faith

This fall, we’re launching Elevate, our new youth ministry for students in 5th–12th grade, meeting Sundays when school is in session from 5:30–7:30 PM.

Using a one-room-schoolhouse approach, Elevate will bring students together for games, a shared meal, fellowship, Bible study, meaningful conversations, and service. Joe is developing a new curriculum specifically for Elevate that will help students engage Scripture, wrestle with real-life questions, and discover what it means to live out their faith.

Our hope is simple: to create a place where students belong, their questions are welcomed, and they are encouraged to discover the gifts God has given them.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation is a meaningful step in a young person’s faith journey—a time to ask honest questions, explore what it means to follow Jesus, and begin to claim faith as their own.

In this class, students will learn the foundations of the Christian faith and the United Methodist tradition through conversation, Scripture, service, and community. We believe questions are holy, doubts are welcome, and growth happens best when young people feel safe, known, and encouraged.

Confirmation is not about having all the answers—it’s about discovering where God is already at work in your life and learning how to respond with faith, love, and purpose. Together, we’ll explore what it means to belong to the church, live out our faith in the world, and say “yes” to God’s ongoing work in us.

Our Next Class is: TBD
