A small group for those in their 20s, 30s & 40s
There are seasons of life when finding your people can be harder than it sounds.
Careers are changing. Relationships are growing. Families look different for everyone. Faith can feel strong one day and full of questions the next. Somewhere between everything we’re building, carrying, celebrating, and figuring out, we still need people to walk alongside us.
That’s what The Bridge is about.
The Bridge is a community at Jackson First UMC created for young adults and adults in their 30s and 40s to build genuine relationships, explore faith, serve together, and find a place to belong.
You don’t have to have life figured out. You don’t have to know exactly what you believe. And you definitely don’t need to pretend everything is perfect.
Just come as you are.
What Is The Bridge?
The Bridge isn't simply another class or weekly meeting. It's a community built around connection.
Sometimes that might mean gathering around a table for meaningful conversation. Sometimes it might look like serving our neighbors, grabbing coffee, sharing dinner, trying something new, or simply having fun together.
Through it all, we're creating opportunities to:
Life is better when we have people to share it with. The Bridge creates space to build genuine friendships beyond quick conversations on Sunday mornings. Through meals, coffee, outings, conversations, and plenty of opportunities to simply have fun together, we want to make it easier to meet people and build relationships that last.
Whether you arrive with friends or walk in knowing absolutely no one, there’s a seat for you.
Faith doesn’t require having all the answers. In fact, some of the most meaningful growth begins when we’re willing to ask the questions.
The Bridge is a place for honest conversations about faith, Scripture, purpose, relationships, work, family, and the things we’re navigating in everyday life. Whether your faith has been part of your story for years or you’re still figuring out what you believe, you’re invited to learn, question, reflect, and grow alongside others.
Community isn’t only about what we receive—it’s also about what we can do together. The Bridge will offer opportunities to put our faith into action by serving our church, our neighbors, and the greater Jackson community.
You don’t need a special skill or endless free time to make a difference. Bring what you have, show up when you can, and discover how much impact we can make when we serve side by side.
You shouldn’t have to become someone else before you can belong.
The Bridge is creating a community where there is room for different stories, different seasons, and different places in the journey of faith. Single or married. Parenting or not. Established or starting over. Confident in your faith or carrying more questions than answers.
You don’t have to fit a mold. You don’t have to have everything figured out.
Who Is It For?
The Bridge is designed especially for young adults and adults in their 30s and 40s—but we know life doesn't fit neatly into age brackets.
Single. Married. Dating. Parenting. No kids. Building a career. Starting over. Deeply rooted in faith. Asking big questions. New to church. Coming back after being away.
There isn't one type of person who belongs at The Bridge.
If you're looking for community, there's room for you here.
What should I expect?
Expect something a little different.
The Bridge will include social gatherings, conversations about faith, opportunities to serve, meals, activities, and experiences that help us build relationships beyond Sunday mornings.
You won't be expected to know everyone when you arrive.
You won't be put on the spot.
And you don't need to bring anything other than yourself.
Come once. Come often. Bring a friend. Meet someone new.
Let's Build the Bridge Together.
We believe some of the best parts of faith happen when people stop simply passing one another in the hallway and start sharing life together.
The Bridge is an invitation to make those connections—to find people who will celebrate with you, wrestle with questions with you, serve beside you, pray with you, laugh with you, and remind you that you were never meant to navigate life or faith alone.
Your story doesn't have to look like anyone else's to belong here.
