Adult Classes
Adult Bible Study
The Adult Bible Study class led by Joanne Snell is now meeting on Wednesday mornings by zoom. Lessons are from the United Methodist quarterly study book and provide background information designed to better understand the Bible and how it applies to today's living. Each quarter emphasizes a specific theme. Materials are provided and there is no outside preparation required. Contact Deacon Greg Lawton for more information. Email Deacon Greg
Conversations About Faith
The Conversations about Faith, led by Dr. John Hawthorne, is on hiatus currently. Typically, they read books by N.T. Wright, C.S. Lewis, Peter Enns, James K. A. Smith, Rachel Held Evans, Parker Palmer, Bryan Stephenson, and many others for discussion. Although a book study, participants are invited to share their own journeys in the conversation.
Tuesday Bible Study
(Currently on hiatus) Our Tuesday morning Bible study is led by Nancy Macaluso and is working on a series called "Jesus in the Gospels" by Leander Keck. This consist of a study guide and a gospel comparison book. A Study Bible would be really helpful to use as daily readings are part of the class. I would recommend a CEB (Common English Bible) study Bible.
Wednesday Bible Study
(Currently on hiatus)We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 10:00 am in the Family Room September through May. Our studies are short term from various books. All are welcome.
