Never Without A Friend Goes To An Old Favorite
 
The Never Without a Friend ladies friendship group will be meeting on March 15, 6:00pm at West Point, a Jackson family-owned restaurant for more than 75 years. West Point is known for their burgers and shrimp baskets and their new smoke-free environment makes for a great place to meet friends and re-connect. West Point is located at 1712 Spring Arbor Rd. Send A Kid To Youth Camp!

Christian camping in the West Michigan Conference has been impacting the lives of thousands of children and youth each summer. First UMC Jackson sent 16 youth to camp in 2010 and eleven in 2011. We will be raising funds throughout February to send kids to church camp in 2012. The focus of worship on February 19 will be Christian camping. In one week at church camp an entire year of Sunday School is experienced by the campers. Many of our present pastors in the West Michigan Conference churches are alumni of our camping program. We wish to send as many young people to camp as possible. You may know of a youngster whom you wish could experience church camp.

There is a great variety of themed camps. We will be helping each camper with a campership, which means needing to raise at least $2,500 to help send kids to camp. For information on available camp choices, please see our camping page.
